Found the inspiration for this snack in a Better Homes & Garden magazine, all about using natural sweeteners to cut sugars.  I absolutely love the way this tastes.  Its healthy and delicious so I am sold!  Am planning on making this again with some variations in the mix, so stay tuned!


Found the inspiration for this snack in a Better Homes & Garden magazine, all about using natural sweeteners to cut sugars.  I absolutely love the way this tastes.  Its healthy and delicious so I am sold!  Am planning on making this again with some variations in the mix, so stay tuned!

Ingredients:


  • 24 oz Greek yogurt
  • 3 tbs maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 1.5 cups chopped fresh fruit

Directions:


  • Line a 13×9″ baking dish or pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix the yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla, chocolate chips & nuts.  Transfer mixture to pan and spread out evenly using a rubber spatula.  Top with fruit and press into yogurt mixture.  Freeze for 3 or more hours.  Remove from pan and allow to thaw for 5 minutes prior to slicing up bark.  Store leftovers in air tight container in your freezer.
  • Yields 10 servings.
